Do you use the Front-End Course Creation plugin by Wisdmlabs?<\/h4>\n

Then you would come across the need to upload a large video lecture.<\/p>\n

You can upload that lecture on your server and burden it with streaming the video to all your students, but you can also end up having your server stream a 4K video to a low resolution smart phone.<\/p>\n

The only viable choice is to use a video streaming service.<\/p>\n

Vimeo is one of them.<\/p>\n

The process of adding a video lecture to your course using Vimeo is a little cumbersome.<\/p>\n

You first have to upload the video to Vimeo, copy its URL and then return to your Course Creation page and paste that URL to your course.<\/p>\n

If you have a lot of video lectures in your course, you can understand the need for a more efficient way.<\/p>\n

Our Front-End Vimeo Video Uploader plugin is adding a new area to your Front-End Course Creation page.<\/p>\n

By clicking this button, you can just drag and drop the video you want in that area. That video is then automatically uploaded to your Vimeo account and added to your course.<\/p>\n

If you change your mind and want to remove the video, you have the option to automatically remove it from Vimeo as well.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Login to your Vimeo account and create a new App. Follow the instructions from the Vimeo Developer Guide:<\/p>\n

Registering your app<\/h6>\n

Uploading videos through the API always happens in the context of an application. Even if you\u2019re just sending us HTTP requests from a command line, we assume that there\u2019s an app associated with these requests. So the first order of business is to register your app:<\/p>\n

  1. Log into your Vimeo account, and go to your My Apps page at\u00a0developer.vimeo.com\/apps.<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Click\u00a0Create an app<\/strong>. Your browser goes to the Create a New App page.<\/li>\n
  3. Fill out the brief registration form, and click or tap\u00a0Create app<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Once created, your app will appear in the list on your My Apps page.<\/p>\n

    Requesting upload access<\/h6>\n

    Registering your app unlocks many different API features. But for uploading videos specifically, you\u2019ll need to get access before moving forward. To do so, reach out to our moderation team:<\/p>\n

    1. From the\u00a0My Apps<\/a>\u00a0page, click the name of your app. Your browser goes to the Details page for this app.<\/li>\n
    2. Find the Upload Access heading, and click the\u00a0Request Upload Access<\/strong>\u00a0link. Your browser goes to the Request Upload Permissions page.<\/li>\n
    3. Provide some basic information about your project, and click\u00a0Request Upload Access.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/blockquote>\n

      Then copy the App ID, Client ID, Client Secret, Access Token from Vimeo and paste them in the settings section of our Plugin.<\/p>\n
