{"id":148,"date":"2019-04-02T12:31:56","date_gmt":"2019-04-02T09:31:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.test4u.eu\/excelpedia\/?p=148"},"modified":"2019-04-04T16:24:07","modified_gmt":"2019-04-04T13:24:07","slug":"the-count-function","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.test4u.eu\/excelpedia\/the-count-function\/","title":{"rendered":"The COUNT function"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>COUNT <\/strong>function provides us with a way to count the number of cells that contain numbers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the syntax of the function:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-large is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong>COUNT(v1, [v2])<\/strong><\/p><cite><strong>v1<\/strong>, <strong>v2, &#8230; <\/strong>: They are the cell references or cell ranges within which you want to count numbers.  <br> <strong>v2, &#8230;<\/strong> : Optional  arguments that can be up to a maximum of 255 <br><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">COUNT only counts <strong>number <\/strong>values.
