It is case-sensitive and doesn&#8217;t allow wildcard characters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For case-insensitive search use the <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"SEARCH  (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.test4u.eu\/excelpedia\/the-search-function\/\" target=\"_blank\">SEARCH <\/a><\/strong>function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The syntax of the function is the following: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-large is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p> <strong>FIND<\/strong><em>(<strong>find_text<\/strong><span><b>, within_text, [start_num]<\/b><\/span><\/em>) <\/p><cite><span><b><strong>find_text<\/strong><\/b><\/span><strong>: <\/strong>The text you are searching for.<br><strong>within_text<\/strong>: The text containing the text you are searching for. <br><strong>[start_num]<\/strong>: Optional. The starting position within the string of the <strong>within_text <\/strong>argument, from which the search will begin.
