It converts a text that represents a number to that number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The syntax of the function is the following: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

VALUE<\/strong>(text<\/b><\/span><\/em>) <\/p>text<\/b><\/span><\/font>: The text you want to convert to a number.
<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The text can be in any of the constant number, date, or time formats recognized by Excel. If it is not then the function returns the #VALUE! error.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is an example of how to use the VALUE function:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the cells B1:B6 set the values of the cell range A1:A6.
If their values cannot be represented by a number then set the value in the corresponding cell of the B column to 0.
You can use the conditional function IFERROR and the VALUE function.
