{"id":912,"date":"2019-04-22T16:37:13","date_gmt":"2019-04-22T13:37:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.test4u.eu\/excelpedia\/?p=912"},"modified":"2019-04-22T17:26:30","modified_gmt":"2019-04-22T14:26:30","slug":"the-accrint-function","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.test4u.eu\/excelpedia\/the-accrint-function\/","title":{"rendered":"The ACCRINT Function"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It calculates the accrued interest for a security that pays periodic interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The syntax of the function is the following: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-large is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong>ACCRINT<\/strong><em>(<strong>issue<\/strong>, <strong>first_interest, settlement<\/strong><span><b>, rate, par, frequency, [basis], [calc_method]<\/b><\/span><\/em>) <\/p><cite><strong>issue<\/strong>: The issue date of the security.<br><span><b><strong>first_interest<\/strong><\/b><\/span><strong>: <\/strong>The 1st interest date of the security.<br><strong>settlement<\/strong>: The settlement date of the security (It is the date when the security is traded to the buyer and it always comes after the issue date).    <br><strong>rate<\/strong>: The annual coupon rate of the security<br><strong>par<\/strong>: The security&#8217;s par value.      <br><strong>frequency<\/strong>: The number of coupon payments per year (annual=1, semiannual=2, quarterly=4).     <br><strong>[basis]<\/strong>: Optional. The type of day count basis (default is 0).      <br><strong>[calc_method]<\/strong>: Optional.  A logical value that specifies the way to calculate the total accrued interest when the date of settlement is later than the date of first_interest. A value of TRUE (1) returns the total accrued interest from issue to settlement. A value of FALSE (0) returns the accrued interest from first_interest to settlement.
