{"id":936,"date":"2019-04-22T18:15:05","date_gmt":"2019-04-22T15:15:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.test4u.eu\/excelpedia\/?p=936"},"modified":"2019-04-22T18:15:07","modified_gmt":"2019-04-22T15:15:07","slug":"the-yield-function","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.test4u.eu\/excelpedia\/the-yield-function\/","title":{"rendered":"The YIELD Function"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It calculates the yield on a security that pays periodic interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The syntax of the function is the following: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-large is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong>YIELD<\/strong><em>(<strong>settlement<\/strong><span><b>, maturity, rate, pr, redemption, frequency, [basis]<\/b><\/span><\/em>) <\/p><cite><strong>settlement<\/strong>: The settlement date of the security (It is the date when the security is traded to the buyer and it always comes after the issue date).     <br><strong>maturity<\/strong>: The maturity date of the security.   <br><strong>rate<\/strong>: The annual coupon rate of the security<br><strong>pr<\/strong>: The security&#8217;s price per $100 face value.    <br><strong>redemption<\/strong>: The redemption value per $100 face value of the security.      <br><strong>frequency<\/strong>: The number of coupon payments per year (annual=1, semiannual=2, quarterly=4).     <br><strong>[basis]<\/strong>: Optional.
