The Mother of all Demos is a very important moment in the history of computer science. It was during this presentation that Doug Engelbard and his team publicly presented the project “A Research Center for Augmenting Human Intellect”.
The Mother of all Demos includes numerous technological breakthroughs that would shape the way we are using PCs today.

How has the TEST4U team contributed?
The official video was available in a rather bad quality and the automated transcripts included a lot of mistakes.
We have corrected the draft transcript from various mistakes and misunderstandings. Please let us know if we have missed any.
We have also converted the corrected transcript to subtitles and translated it to Greek.
We have included both subtitles (English and Greek) to all the “Mother of All Demos” videos.
We have sent the corrected English and Greek subtitles to the SRI International to have them incorporated in the official video presentation.
But we didn’t stop there!

Εάν δεν ξέρεις την απάντηση, τότε πρέπει να παρακολουθήσεις το βίντεο που έχουμε ετοιμάσει για το Mother of all Demos.
Το Mother of all Demos αποτελεί μια πολύ σημαντική στιγμή της ιστορίας της επιστήμης της πληροφορικής. Κατά τη διάρκεια της παρουσίασης ο Doug Engelbard και οι συνεργάτες του παρουσίασαν στο ευρύ κοινό το project “Ένα Ερευνητικό Κέντρο για την επαύξηση της ανθρώπινης διάνοιας”.
Το Mother of all Demos περιλάμβανε πληθώρα τεχνολογικών καινοτομιών που σε μεγάλο βαθμό καθόρισαν τον τρόπο που χρησιμοποιούμε τους Η/Υ σήμερα.

Πώς συνέβαλε η ομάδα του TEST4U;
Το αρχικό βίντεο ήταν σε αρκετά κακή ποιότητα και οι αυτόματοι υπότιτλοι περιείχαν πολλά λάθη.
- Διορθώσαμε τις απομαγνητοφωνήσεις από διάφορα λάθη και παρανοήσεις. Παρακαλώ ενημερώστε μας εάν μας έχει ξεφύγει κάτι.
- Μετατρέψαμε τις απομαγνητοφωνήσεις σε υπότιτλους και τους μεταφράσαμε στα Ελληνικά.
- Συμπεριλάβαμε τόσο τους Αγγλικούς όσο και τους Ελληνικούς υπότιτλους στα βίντεο του “Mother of All Demos”.
- Στείλαμε τους διορθωμένους αγγλικούς και τους ελληνικούς υπότιτλους στο SRI International για να ενσωματωθούν στο επίσημο ολοκληρωμένο βίντεο της παρουσίασης.
Δεν σταματήσαμε όμως εδώ!
Δημιουργήσαμε ακόμα 11 λίστες αναπαραγωγής (playlists) που περιέχουν τα βίντεο, κατηγοριοποιημένα ανά τεχνολογικό επίτευγμα. Έτσι, όποιος, για παράδειγμα, θέλει να μάθει για το πρώτο ποντίκι μπορεί να παρακολουθήσει μόνο τα κομμάτια του demo που αναφέρονται σε αυτό.
